yay the weekend is upon us, and I have what may be my last study free weekend. hoo rah!
I ran a practice PFA today and was sorely disappoint in my run time. 15:12....I did a 13:50 for my final at RTC, so I really need to step up my game here.

so...I am in fact...NOT dead....
After pouring over some previous entries it has come to my attention that LJ was in serious need of some updating...
*ahem* here goes:
First: I joined the Navy. Bobby and I. Joined. the Navy. Goodbye hair, hello CO.
Second: We've decided to get married...November 8th @ City Park, be there or be square...
Third: My father passed away on Sept. 24th...brain aneurysm.
Fourth: our ship date for boot camp is January 13, 2009

Alright people I haven't written in a while, but it seems whenever I do post on here its bearing bad news.
Delgado's Funeral service and Mortuary Science program has lost its accreditation. They are currently appealing to get their accreditation back...
What does this mean?
Without being accredited Delgado has no reason to keep the program around, and the process for them to re-apply if the appeal is rejected would take another two years. They would no longer be accepting students for the fall semester and the graduating class next spring would be the last class to attend the funeral program at DCC.
What does this mean for me? ....
I'm not sure yet; I wont say that the past four semesters have been a waste, because they haven't. I've taken courses that I've enjoyed and met some amazing people. But...I didn't have a back up plan.I wasn't one of those student who change their major over and over. I knew what I wanted to do and I went for it. I want to be an Embalmer and a Funeral Director. If this program is lost then I will be temporarily lost as well, searching for a new school and possibly a new direction in life.
If you'd like to help though...
The program director, Mr. David Coughran has appealed to the American Board of Funeral Service Education, and is hoping to hear back from them sometime over the summer. I'll be writing a letter to support the appeal. Mr. Coughran has made a lot of positive changes to the program over the past semester and I think given the oppourtunity he and Ms. Bobbie-Ann could go on to train a lot of good people (myself included XD)
So if you'd like to maybe write to help my cause, lol

We re-arranged the living room today, it feels alot better now. More home-y I guess. I just wish our walls weren't so bare ... *COUGH* This is a hint to all my arts friends out there *COUGH* lol
But I feel accomplished I cleaned out the fridge yesterday (*gag*) and mopped today and bobby moved furniture. Now all I have to Do is Vacuume and do some Resolve on the carpet and The apartment will look good as new....at least the living room is, lets not get started on the bedroom...blegh...lol

Well, not that I've been posting all that regularly anyways, but I may dissapear for a bit. My laptop has decided to die. as in it refuses to hold a charge ;-; so I must resort to either the slow ass desktop that bobby has or mine at Feenies. meh..
Speaking of feenie, she is doing quite well, for those of you who have asked about her. We got Susan's urn back today, as well as the other 'container (snerk)' for her ashes. Theyre quite pretty, I'll have to post pictures of them. very nice white ceramic with a floral pattern.
still no death certificate. The doctor took forever and a day to sign off, not I think the funeral home is taking their time making the copies.
Joey had to go back up to tennesse, but it was nice to have him down here for a while. Great to see him sober. :)

For those of you who have known me, you have known me for many many years. I have very few 'new friends'...
You all know me, my family, and our....what 's the polite statement....circumstances surrounding Susan, my mother.
I don't like her...you know this by now...
I haven't felt much affection for her for over ten years now, around the time I realized that this was not the kind of person a mother is. A mother is a person that loves you, wants to care for you, sacrifices for you...Susan was not that type of person. and Feenie quickly became the maternial figure in my life.
Susan has done no great and terrible horrendous wrongs in her life...well...none that great amouts of time and tears could not heal...
But...maybe she deserves something more than the calm, impasiveness I feel now...
She passed away today, around 2 o'clock. Feenie tracked me down about an hous later and I came over...There are other details, but for the propriety and respect for the dead I'll leave them out...
There will be no service for her...we will have her cremated and take her home, setting her on the bookcase beside my grandfather and great grandmother, both of whom she loved very much, and I think would be happy to be beside.
Right now my heart goes out more to Feenie and my father, who seem to have had much more happier times with her than I and have memoroes to reflect upon and a part of her to miss...
Maybe I'll feel grief....maybe later....but not right now...

As many of you may have noticed, my sleeping patterns as of late have been as wonky as a monkey on nitrousoxide.
*yawns* Theres just so much to do....and so much effort involved in doing it, lol.
But I figured I'm slightly obligated to give a post every once in a while to inform everyone that I havent dropped off the face of the earth. merrrr.
I have accounting in an hour and I DUN WANNA GO! YOU CANT MAKE ME! BAAAAAAHHH!

Btw, Meagan! if you read this! I saw you calling! before my phone rejected your call and decided it didnt want me calling you, jo, or anyone back and went on perpetual vibrate. ha ha 25 calls i couldnt answer....It was rather funny...So please! I wasnt ignoring any of you!

2) I get to have lunch with Jo and Aline and possibly jonah tomorrow! I HAVENT SEEN THEM IN FOREVER! and I have a present for aline...WHICH I LEFT AT HOME! PISS
3) I must return to monster hunter 2 O_O Let it consume you! It maybe be one of the most AWESOME PSP games in existence.
